The American film and television composer Tony Anderson is a celebrated composer of independent film, advertisement and TV music. His music is described as electrocinema, a modern and emotive blend of the two genres which aims to subtly move listeners.
Having originally trained as a classical pianist, Anderson was later inspired by house music and electronica before he began experimenting with his own digital sequencing in 1999. During his time studying at university, his work, a blend of orchestral and electronic music began to gain recognition from independent filmmakers, which later led to numerous opportunities scoring music for independent films and advertisements including the BMW M5 advert and the Adidas running advert. His other works have been featured in Project Alive, in films by the independent writer and filmmaker Cale Glendening and the 2018 short film Oyarsa. Anderson’s standout contribution to cinematic music is making a big impression on the industry. Featuring addictive melodies and mesmerising melodies, it is often described as eternal music that connects with the soul of the audience and has the ability to leave them wanting more.
Despite having played and composed music for much of his life, Anderson feels as if he is just beginning to find his voice. Working out of his studio in Lexington KY, he describes his music as a deeply personal experience where he uses his melodies to express feelings with the aim to unlock something inside the listener.
