Tyler James Williams

Tyler James Williams, born on October 9, 1992, in Westchester County, New York, started his acting career at the age of four by voicing Bobby on ‘Little Bill’ in 2000 and appearing on ‘Sesame Street’ from 2000 to 2005. His early career also included uncredited roles in films like ‘Two for the Money’ (2005). Williams gained widespread recognition in 2005 for his lead role as Chris in the hit sitcom ‘Everybody Hates Chris,’ which concluded in 2009. During this period, he earned a Young Artist Award in 2007 and was the youngest person to win an NAACP Image Award for his work on the show. His foundational work as a child actor established him in the entertainment industry.

Williams continued to diversify his roles in the early 2010s, featuring in Disney Channel projects such as ‘Let It Shine’ (2012) where he played songwriter Cyrus DeBarge and showcased his rapping skills on the soundtrack.
