Tyler Shelton

Tyler Shelton was born on May 13th, 1992, in Englewood, Florida. He began his professional music career in 2010 as a vocalist for the band Visionaries, remaining with them until 2013. In 2013, he co-founded the metal band Traitors, where he serves as the lead vocalist. Traitors quickly gained recognition in the metalcore genre, releasing multiple albums and touring extensively. Shelton has been instrumental in the band’s musical direction and lyrical content, contributing to their distinctive heavy sound.

Throughout his career, Shelton has engaged in numerous collaborative projects and guest vocal appearances. Notably, he provided guest vocals for “Wretched Existence” by Before the Harvest in 2015 and “The Elysian Grandeval Galèriarch” by Infant Annihilator in 2016. In 2018, he contributed to Nott’s “The Wretched Sounds” and in 2021, appeared on PeelingFlesh’s split album “Deformed Through Gluttony.” His career also includes involvement with other musical groups such as Willowbrook and The Big Six from 2022 to 2023. Currently, Shelton is active with Project: Vengeance, which he joined in 2023, while continuing his role with Traitors.

Shelton’s work with Traitors includes the release of five studio albums, with the fifth album, “Phobias,” set to be released on February 21st. The band has toured across North America with acts like Crown Magnetar and Yosemite in Black, and he has also shared stages with diverse bands such as Attack Attack! and Born of Osiris. Shelton is known for his ability to connect with various audiences and adapt to different touring environments.
