Influenced by a friend’s hairstylist mother, he observed the transformative impact of a new hairstyle on clients’ demeanors. This early exposure sparked his interest, leading him to enroll in cosmetology school a year after high school, where he immediately felt he had found his calling. Wallace quickly developed his unique aesthetic and skill, gaining confidence in his abilities as a hairstylist.
Wallace’s career trajectory saw him move from local work in Chicago to styling for some of the entertainment industry’s most recognizable figures. A significant turning point in his career came with his first Oscars event in 2017, where he styled both Taraji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer, solidifying his status as a sought-after professional in Hollywood. This milestone confirmed his belief in his craft and established him on a national stage. His extensive client list includes Taraji P. Henson, Mary J. Blige, Yara Shahidi, Cardi B, and Octavia Spencer, among others.
Over the years, Wallace has contributed his expertise to various film and television projects, often serving as the personal hairstylist for leading actresses. His credits include films such as “The Color Purple” (2023), “Proud Mary” (2018), “Acrimony” (2018), and “The Best of Enemies” (2019).
