Hair stylist to the stars and celebrity hairdresser Tym Wallace is known for creating red carpet looks and for his work with major TV networks including MTV and VH1.

Wallace grew up surrounded by hair, and he would watch as his friend’s mum styled local women’s hair at her home in Chicago. He would see the difference she made to the attitudes and confidence of her clients as they came in and were transformed, and this inspired Wallace to pursue hairdressing. He later attended Chicago’s Dudley Beauty College where he honed his skills, moving to New York City to follow his dreams of working with celebrity clients. Now, he has worked on shows and events including Project Runway, The BET Awards, Fashion Week and Black Girls Rock. Wallace has also built up an impressive celebrity client base and has styled the hair of some of the most famous women in show business today. These include Taraji P Henson, Zendaya, Kelly Rowland, Octavia Spencer and Serena Williams, and his work has been seen on red carpets including at the Oscars.
