Tyson Durfey

Tyson Durfey is a celebrated professional rodeo athlete whose career has been marked by remarkable achievements and a deep-rooted passion for the sport. His journey began in Savannah, Missouri, where he grew up in a family immersed in rodeo culture. Tyson’s father, a competitor in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), instilled in him a love for calf roping from a young age. By 2003, he had launched his PRCA career, quickly establishing himself as a formidable tie-down roper.

In 2016, Tyson reached a pinnacle in his career by winning the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) calf roping World Title, a testament to his dedication and skill. His impressive track record includes three Canadian World Championships, making him the first non-Canadian to achieve this honor. Additionally, he has qualified for the WNFR ten times, showcasing his consistency and excellence in the sport. Notably, in 2018, he triumphed in ten events, including prestigious competitions like the Washington State Fair Pro Rodeo.
