Vanity Milan

Christopher Alexander Adamson, known as Vanity Milan, was born on October 22, 1991, in London, United Kingdom. Growing up in Mitcham, South London, with British Jamaican heritage, Adamson began his drag career in London in 2019. In the same year, he won “The Crown,” a drag competition hosted by Kitty Scott-Claus. His stage name, Vanity Milan, reflects his mother’s observation of his vanity and his personal interest in fashion. His husband contributes to his drag persona by creating his costumes. Adamson identifies as queer and lived in Estonia for five years starting in 2011, where he met his Estonian husband, Siim Adamson.

In 2021, Vanity Milan gained wider recognition by competing on the third series of “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.” During her time on the show, she recorded the song “BDE,” securing a challenge win. She also achieved three lip sync wins, tying with Series 2 contestant Tayce for the highest number of lip sync victories on “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.” Milan placed fourth in the competition, being eliminated in the ninth episode. Following her appearance, she has publicly discussed the need for more diversity within the “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK” casting.

Vanity Milan continued her career in music, releasing her debut single “Miss Milan (Don’t Play With Me)” in 2022, followed by a second single, “Pissed,” in the same year. In 2023, she released “Four Ways,” and her first EP, “Libra,” was released in 2024. In June 2022, she appeared with Kitty Scott-Claus on an episode of “Pointless Celebrities.” Later that year, in October 2022, Milan was announced as a contestant on the first season of “Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World.” She won her first challenge on the show by recording the song “Bonjour, Hi” and winning a lip sync to Anjulie’s “Brand New Bitch.” She placed fifth overall in the competition, being eliminated in the fifth episode.
