Christopher Adamson, better known by her stage name Vanity Milan, is a British drag queen who rose to prominence after appearing in the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Vanity Milan was a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s third season in 2021. Milan won a challenge for the song “BDE,” which she recorded while on the show. She also took home three lip syncs, tying for the most on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK with series two contestant Tayce. Milan finished fourth overall and was eliminated in the eighth episode of the series.
In the year 2019, Vanity Milan began performing drag in London. Her drag name was inspired by her mother’s description of her as pretentious and her love of fashion. Drag is a family event in her house, and her husband has been known to make some of her incredible costumes. She won “The Crown,” a competition presented by Kitty Scott-Claus, in her debut year.
Milan has spoken out about being the only black competitor on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK since the show aired, and has given interviews on the lack of diversity on the UK version of the show. Milan’s debut song, “Miss Milan (Don’t Play With Me),” was released in 2022. She also appeared in Cheryl Hole’s debut single “Need the Power” music video. Her Hit The Ground Running UK Tour is currently in the works. Follow her on Instagram @itsvanitymilan and Twitter @itsvanitymilan, where she has accumulated over 100 thousand followers.
