Wesley Stromberg was born on December 6, 1993. His musical journey began while attending middle school in Sequim, Washington, with Drew Chadwick, forming the initial version of what would become the band Emblem3. The trio, also including his brother Keaton Stromberg, produced their first album, “Bite Your Lip and Take It,” in their basement under the name The American Scholars. After relocating to Huntington Beach, California, and experimenting with various names, they settled on “Emblem3.” The band gained national recognition in 2012 by performing on the second season of “The X Factor,” where they auditioned with an original song “Sunset Blvd” and advanced through various stages, ultimately placing fourth.
Following their appearance on “The X Factor,” Emblem3 signed with Simon Cowell’s Syco Records and Columbia Records in 2013. That same year, they released their debut album, “Nothing to Lose,” which included the single “Chloe (You’re the One I Want).” The single peaked at number 93 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band embarked on tours such as the “Goin’ Back to Cali Tour” and served as an opening act for Selena Gomez’s “Stars Dance Tour.” In 2014, Emblem3 released an independent EP, “Songs from the Couch, Vol. I.” Later that year, Drew Chadwick departed the band to pursue a solo career, and Wesley and Keaton continued as a duo, releasing the EP “Forever Together.”
The band reunited in 2016, releasing the EP “Waking Up” and commencing a world tour. After a period of hiatus, Drew and Wesley released “Pyro,” a hip-hop-inspired EP, in 2019 under the Emblem3 name. Keaton rejoined the group in 2020, and they released several singles, including “Champagne Dreams,” “Eyes Wide Open,” and “So Proud.” In 2023, they released “Songs from the Couch, Vol. 2.” In March 2025, Drew Chadwick announced his second departure, and Jack Mudd joined the band.
