Will Brooks has established a formidable career in mixed martial arts, transitioning from a collegiate football athlete to a respected Bellator Lightweight Champion and UFC competitor, known for his technical skill and disciplined approach. After making a significant international impact by defeating veteran Satoru Kitaoka via TKO at Dream 18 in December 2012, Will Brooks went on to establish a formidable career in mixed martial arts. Brooks began his professional MMA journey in January 2011, quickly building an undefeated 7-0 record within his first two years while competing primarily in Illinois. His impressive early performance attracted the attention of Bellator Fighting Championships, who signed him in January 2013.
In May 2016, Brooks signed a six-fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), making a successful debut against Ross Pearson at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale in July 2016 with a unanimous decision victory. His UFC career continued with bouts against Alex Oliveira, Charles Oliveira, and Nik Lentz between 2016 and 2017. Following his departure from the UFC in February 2018, Brooks joined the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
