Yair Yint Aung

Yair Yint Aung, born on August 18, 1993, in Yangon, Myanmar, is a singer-songwriter and actor. His career began in 2011 with his participation in Bo Bo Entertainment’s group albums. He gained national recognition for his rendition of “Lwan Lun Loh” from the “Bo Bo 1st Anniversary” album, establishing his position in Myanmar’s music scene. His duet album “A Mone Diary,” released in February 2012 with Thar Thar, achieved commercial success, reaching the top of album charts. He released his debut solo album “Chay” in December 2014, which was widely distributed across Myanmar and featured numerous successful tracks. In 2018, he established his own record label, YID (Yes I Did), further demonstrating his commitment to the music industry. His subsequent album, “G.O.A.T.,” was released in August 2020. He has continued to release music, with albums such as “Unusual Things” (2023), and singles including “Float” (2025).

Beyond his music career, Yair Yint Aung has also made significant contributions to the acting field. He debuted as an actor in 2016 with a leading role in the film “QC Game.” The same year, he appeared in “Waiting For You” and “Hae.” His big-screen debut occurred in 2017 with “Nga Ko Nan De Mohndaing” (The Storm That Kissed Me), where he starred alongside Phway Phway and Hlwan Paing. This film was released in Myanmar cinemas on June 1, 2018, becoming a commercial success. His performance as Aww Ya Htoo was critically acclaimed. In 2018, he also starred in the comedy film “Jin Party,” released in August 2019, working with actors such as Yan Aung and Eaindra Kyaw Zin. His acting portfolio expanded with roles in the horror comedy “Khaw Than” and the comedy “Yaw Thama Mwe” in 2019. In 2023, he featured in the film “Intentional Rain.”

His achievements include winning the “Best Pop Music Award for Winter” and the prestigious “Best Pop Album Award” at the 2014 Myanmar Music Awards (MMA). He also received the City FM Music Awards for Most Requested Song Award (Male) in 2015, and the Shwe FM Music Awards for Most Requested Single of the Year (Male) for “Waiting For You,” and Best Music Video Award for “Ya Par Tal Htwat Thwar Par” in 2014. Additionally, in 2013, he was awarded the Most Requested Single of the Year (Male) for “Lwan Loon Loh.” Yair Yint Aung also engages in brand ambassadorships, enhancing his public profile. He has been in a relationship with actress A Nyein Phyu since 2017.
