Yousri Belgaroui was born on June 2, 1992, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, to a Tunisian father and a Dutch mother. He pursued higher education, earning a degree in Public Governance and Management from the University of Amsterdam. Belgaroui initiated his professional kickboxing journey in 2014, quickly establishing himself within the sport. He trained initially at Mike’s Gym from 2014 to 2019, developing a reputation for exciting performances and knockout victories. His early career saw him secure the IRO European Middleweight (-86 kg) Championship in 2015.
Belgaroui made a significant impact in Glory kickboxing. In 2016, he participated in the Glory Middleweight Contender’s Tournament, advancing to the finals before a split decision loss to Israel Adesanya. The following year, at Glory 40: Copenhagen, he won the Middleweight Contender Tournament, defeating Alex Pereira in the finals by unanimous decision. This victory led to multiple challenges for the Glory Middleweight Championship, facing Alex Pereira on two occasions in 2017 and 2018. In 2021, he competed for the vacant Glory Middleweight Championship against Donovan Wisse.
Transitioning to mixed martial arts, Belgaroui made his MMA debut in January 2021. He has competed in organizations such as UAE Warriors and Levels Fight League, demonstrating his striking skills with several TKO and KO victories. He holds the LFL Light Heavyweight Championship. Belgaroui has appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series twice, in 2023 and 2024, earning a TKO victory in his second appearance. He is scheduled to make his UFC debut in 2025.
