Chris Stussy

Niels Christian Steenbergen, known professionally as Chris Stussy, was born on July 2, 1994, in Leiderdorp, Netherlands. He commenced his music career by performing in local clubs across the Netherlands. Stussy’s early work focused on house and deep tech genres. He established himself in the global underground scene through various releases and performances. His productions have appeared on labels such as FUSE London, Kaoz Theory, and Rutilance Recordings, in addition to his own imprint, Up The Stuss. His musical style blends influences from artists like Kerri Chandler, raw Chicago grooves, and classic house music, incorporating elements of disco and jazz into his sound.

Stussy’s career trajectory saw significant growth in 2023 with the release of his single “All Night Long,” a track that has accumulated over 30 million streams on Spotify. This success was followed by the “Midtown Playground EP,” released on FUSE Records, which further increased his audience, leading to over 1 million monthly listeners. In 2024, he collaborated with Moby on the track “Go.” Stussy has performed at prominent venues and festivals globally, including DC10 and Amnesia in Ibiza, Coachella, Music On, Mint, Creamfields, Club Space, and Parklife. He also made his Boiler Room debut in Edinburgh in May 2024.

Beyond his individual productions, Chris Stussy has engaged in collaborative projects, including Stussko, a musical duo with Kolter, and Across Boundaries, a trio with Locklead and Otto Vogeler. In 2020, he founded his record label, Up The Stuss, providing a platform for his own releases and supporting emerging talent. In March 2025, he introduced “Chris Stussy presents Linger AV DJ set,” an audiovisual show, and in September 2024, announced his own event series, ‘USS,’ with the inaugural show in London on February 1, 2025. He also launched a docu-series, “Chris Stussy: Uncut,” in February 2024, offering a behind-the-scenes look at his activities.
