After achieving mainstream recognition with his remix of The Daou’s ‘Surrender Yourself’ in 1993, Danny Tenaglia established himself as a dominant force in electronic music. Tenaglia honed his skills as a DJ at prominent New York venues before becoming a resident DJ at Cheers nightclub in Miami in 1985, where he cultivated classic New York and Chicago house sounds for five years. Returning to New York in 1990, he shifted focus to remixing, producing notable works including Right Said Fred’s ‘I’m Too Sexy’ (1991), Jamiroquai’s ‘Emergency on Planet Earth’ (1993), and Madonna’s ‘Human Nature’ (1994).
