Basement

Basement, an English rock band recognized for their alternative rock and emo sound, achieved significant chart success with their album Colourmeinkindness, reaching number 188 on the US Billboard 200 upon its release in October 2012. Prior to this, the band made their debut with the EP, Songs About the Weather, in May 2010, swiftly signing with Run for Cover Records in August of the same year. Their first full-length album, I Wish I Could Stay Here, followed in 2011 through Run For Cover Records, which they supported with extensive tours across Australia and two American tours alongside acclaimed acts like Daylight. Following the success of Colourmeinkindness, Basement announced an indefinite hiatus in 2012.

The band re-emerged on January 29, 2014, confirming their return via social media. In June 2014, they recorded and released the EP Further Sky, featuring two new songs and a distinctive cover. This period saw them undertake extensive touring across Australia, Japan, and America, with all American dates selling out. Their momentum continued with the 2016 release of Promise Everything, an album that charted impressively in Australia, the UK, and the US.

However, Basement made a significant return in 2021, announcing their performance at Outbreak Fest 2022, marking a renewed commitment to their music and fanbase. This re-emergence culminated in a full reunion, which included a string of successful US tour dates and a highly anticipated appearance at the When We Were Young festival. Solidifying their long-standing relationship, Basement re-signed with Run For Cover Records in 2024. The band continues to evolve their musical style, drawing inspiration from pivotal acts such as The Ataris, The Promise Ring, and Jimmy Eat World, while consistently delivering their distinct blend of alternative rock.
