Lorde is an acclaimed singer-songwriter known for her unconventional pop sound and introspective lyrical style, building a career marked by critical and commercial success. After signing a development deal with Universal Music Group in 2009, Lorde swiftly began her ascent, collaborating with producer Joel Little in 2011 to craft her debut project. This partnership yielded ‘The Love Club EP’, initially released independently on SoundCloud in November 2012 before its commercial debut in March 2013. The EP’s lead single, ‘Royals’, quickly became an international phenomenon, topping the U.S.

Billboard Hot 100 in 2013 and selling over 10 million units worldwide. Its monumental success garnered Lorde two Grammy Awards in 2014 for Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year. Her critically acclaimed debut studio album, ‘Pure Heroine’, followed in September 2013, achieving immense commercial success with over a million copies sold in the US by February 2014 and four million worldwide by May 2017.
