Robert Ellis

Robert Ellis is a multi-instrumentalist whose career spans country, pop, and jazz, transitioning from a touring musician to a record producer and studio partner. After his second album, Photographs, released in 2011, was named one of American Songwriter magazine’s top 50 albums of the year, Robert Ellis solidified his position as a compelling multi-instrumentalist whose career spans country, pop, and jazz. Ellis began his musical journey performing under the name ‘Eyes Like Lions’ in 2005, later self-releasing his debut LP, The Great Rearranger, in 2009. His early career saw him touring extensively with notable acts such as Alabama Shakes, Old Crow Medicine Show, and the Old 97’s.

In this capacity, he has helmed production for artists such as Jamestown Revival and Zach Williams of The Lone Bellow. Further showcasing his diverse talents, Ellis composed the original score for the true-crime podcast ‘Devil Town.’ Beyond his extensive music and production work, Ellis is actively cultivating new entrepreneurial ventures. He is currently developing the rebranding and reopening of a Fort Worth establishment as a vinyl/hi-fi bar, designed to occasionally host live concerts.
