Aaron Buerge

Aaron Buerge was born and raised in Missouri. His professional background is rooted in banking, following in the footsteps of his family as a third-generation banker. He is currently employed as Senior Vice President at his family’s bank in Springfield, Missouri. Additionally, Buerge has interests in the restaurant industry. He achieved public recognition early in his career, appearing on national television as the lead in a popular reality dating show. This public exposure occurred prior to his continuous progression within the banking sector. He maintains an active lifestyle, engaged in outdoor activities and piloting, alongside his family life.

In 2002, Buerge participated as the lead in the second season of ABC’s reality television series “The Bachelor.” The show featured Buerge engaging with 25 contestants over several weeks. The season concluded on November 20, 2002, with Buerge proposing to Helene Eksterowicz, a 27-year-old school psychologist from Gloucester, New Jersey. This engagement was a significant public event, widely covered by media outlets. However, the engagement was terminated approximately five weeks after the finale was televised.

After his television appearance, Buerge continued to build his career in banking and entrepreneurship. He became an Executive Vice President at Legacy Bank and Trust. In 2006, he acquired ownership of the Historic Vandivort Centre in Springfield, Missouri. On August 8, 2009, Buerge married Angye McIntosh, a commercial insurance agent, in Springfield, Missouri. The wedding and subsequent reception were held in the Grande Ballroom of the Historic Vandivort Centre, a property owned by Buerge. He is also a partner in Trolley’s Downtown Bar & Grille, a restaurant in Springfield, which catered his wedding reception. His professional life is characterized by sustained involvement in the banking sector and various business ventures, alongside his personal commitments as a father and his recreational pursuits.
