Alun Wyn Jones made his senior Wales international debut in 2006 and swiftly became a cornerstone of the national team, contributing to their memorable Grand Slam victory in 2008. His professional rugby career began with his Ospreys debut on September 4, 2005, where he quickly helped secure the 200607 Celtic League title in 2007. Recognized for his formidable leadership qualities, Jones first captained Wales in 2009 against Italy, becoming the 126th player to lead the national side. He further solidified his leadership within the Ospreys, serving as the club’s captain for the 201011 season.

Following this, he signed with French Top 14 club Toulon as a cover player later in 2023. His legacy continues to be recognized, with an upcoming appointment as Honorary Colonel of the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Welsh in 2025, underscoring his enduring influence and commitment beyond the field.
