Alyssa Ramos began her professional journey with a strong academic background, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from Florida State University between 2006 and 2011. She continued her education with a partial Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University from 2011 to 2013. Early in her career, Ramos gained experience in diverse roles, including event journalist and public relations at Splash Magazines Worldwide in 2011, and a short stint as Philanthropy Director for Whistle Marketing and AutoCricket.com in 2011. She further developed her writing skills as a writer for Creative Artists Agency from 2012 to 2014, and worked as a Junior Publicist at The Honig Company, LLC from 2013 to 2014, where she created press releases, SEO content, and social media materials.
In January 2013, Alyssa Ramos launched MyLifesAMovie.com, building a platform that focuses on solo female adventure travel. She is recognized for her extensive travels, having visited 95 countries across seven continents, and experienced all seven World Wonders and seven Wonders of Nature. Her adventures include climbing Kilimanjaro, exploring the Great Barrier Reef, and visiting Easter Island. By May 2016, she was able to fully fund her travels through collaborations and paid content on her blog and social media channels. Her work has been featured in publications such as Forbes, Entrepreneur, Lonely Planet, and Inside Edition, and she was a contributor for The Huffington Post, with notable articles like “Yes, I’m Pretty and I’m Traveling Alone.”
