She gained public recognition as a cast member on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Miami” in seasons 2 and 3 (2012-2024). During this period, she was sometimes referred to as “The Thinking Man’s Housewife.” Her exposure on reality television provided a platform to develop her culinary interests into a thriving business.

A Passion for Cuban Cuisine” and co-authored “The Versailles Restaurant Cookbook.” Her recent work, “Modern Cuban,” published in 2024 by the University Press of Florida, offers a contemporary approach to classic Cuban recipes, also detailing how to adapt dishes for various dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and ketogenic diets. The book received the Florida Book Awards, Silver Medal for Cooking, further solidifying her status in the culinary field.
