Andrew Enfield is a prominent American basketball coach known for his successful coaching career at various collegiate levels. Enfield gained national recognition as the head coach of Florida Gulf Coast University when he led the team to an unexpected run to the Sweet 16 round of the 2013 NCAA tournament as a No. 15 seed. He currently serves as the head coach for the USC Trojans, competing in the popular Pac-12 Conference.
Enfield’s basketball journey began as a standout player at Johns Hopkins University, where he holds 18 school records, including the all-time NCAA record for free throw shooting percentage. He went on to work as an assistant coach for the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics before taking a brief hiatus from coaching to work as a business executive. Enfield then returned to coaching as an assistant at Florida State before getting his first head-coaching position at Florida Gulf Coast in 2011. Since joining USC in 2013, Enfield has led the Trojans to five postseason appearances, including four NCAA Tournament appearances and one in the NIT. Enfield’s leadership has resulted in notable successes over the years, including a 14-0 start in his fourth season and his 100th win as a head coach.
Off the court, Enfield has a successful personal life. He is a dedicated family man; married to former model Amanda Marcum, with two daughters, Aila and Lily, and a son, Marcum. Enfield was also inducted into Johns Hopkins University’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001, recognizing his outstanding achievements as a player during his college career.
