Antonio Tarver is a decorated former professional boxer and Olympic medalist who has transitioned into a boxing commentator and actor. After achieving an unprecedented ‘triple feat’ in 1995 by securing gold medals at the Pan American Games, World Championships, and the U.S. National Light Heavyweight championship, Antonio Tarver went on to earn a bronze medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics in the light heavyweight division. His remarkable amateur career also saw him secure the United States amateur Light Heavyweight championship in both 1993 and 1995, following his National Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight title win in 1994.
These numerous victories solidified his status as a dominant force in the amateur boxing ranks. Tarver made his professional boxing debut on February 18, 1997, with a commanding second-round knockout victory against Joaquin Garcia at the Blue Horizon in Philadelphia.
