Ash Hodgkinson, known as Ash Magic, began his journey into magic at the age of 11. Despite facing bullying during his high school years for his interest in magic, he persevered with his passion. This early period of adversity, where he almost gave up, ultimately strengthened his resolve to continue performing and developing his skills. His dedication led him to attend three different schools, including two performing arts institutions, to further hone his craft and pursue his artistic inclinations.

His career experienced a significant turning point during the final two weeks of his HSC exams when his TikTok following surged from zero to over one million. This rapid growth on social media platforms propelled him into the public eye as an online influencer and content creator. He leveraged platforms like TikTok and YouTube to share his magic tricks, accumulating millions of followers and billions of video views. Hodgkinson has since expanded his work to include acting roles and live touring shows, showcasing his magic on international stages.

As of 2023, at the age of 21, Ash Magic has achieved considerable financial success, becoming a millionaire through his online content and various performances. He has a significant presence with 10 million followers on TikTok and 2.9 million subscribers on YouTube, with his videos amassing over three billion views. His work extends beyond social media to include appearances on television shows such as ‘RFDS’ and ‘Heartbreak High’, and headlining his interactive magic show, ‘Metaverse of Magic’, which has toured Australia, London’s West End, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.
