Brad Williams

Brad Williams was born on January 13, 1984, in Los Angeles, California. He was born with achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism, which has become a significant element in his comedic performances. Williams began his comedy career at the age of 19 after a chance encounter with comedian Carlos Mencia. Mencia invited Williams to join him on stage during a show, and after impressing Mencia with his jokes, he became Mencia’s opening act for multiple tours, including the Mind of Mencia tour and the Punisher Tour. This early exposure provided a foundation for his career in comedy, allowing him to develop his unique style and reach a wider audience.

Throughout his career, Williams has made numerous television appearances. He played various roles in “Mind of Mencia” from 2005 to 2007 and had guest spots on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in 2008 and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in 2008 and 2009. He also featured in TV series such as “Legit” (2013-2014) and “Deadbeat” (2015-2016), further establishing his presence in the entertainment industry. In 2011, Williams released his first full-length comedy album, “Coming Up Short.” He later released two one-hour comedy specials on Showtime, “Brad Williams: Fun Size” in 2015 and “Brad Williams: Daddy Issues” in 2016, both of which he also wrote.

A significant milestone in Williams’ career occurred in 2022 when he became the lead comic for Cirque du Soleil’s “Mad Apple” show in Las Vegas. This marked the first time a comedian had headlined and sold out a Cirque du Soleil show, showcasing his ability to connect with diverse audiences in a large-scale theatrical setting. In addition to his stage and screen work, Williams has maintained a presence in podcasting, co-hosting the “About Last Night” podcast with Adam Ray since 2014. His continued work across different mediums highlights his versatility and sustained engagement in the comedy and entertainment landscape.
