Brendan Fehr

Brendan Fehr was born on October 29, 1977, in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. He was raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, by his mother, a case manager at a correctional institute. His entry into the entertainment industry began serendipitously in 1997 when he inquired about modeling and was instead advised to try acting. This led to his first television role in the high-school series “Breaker High.” Initially planning to pursue a teaching career and attend the University of Manitoba, Fehr decided to commit fully to acting based on his mother’s advice.

Fehr’s career gained significant momentum with his role as Michael Guerin in the science fiction TV series “Roswell” from 1999 to 2002. During this period, he also appeared in the feature films “Final Destination” (2000) and “The Forsaken” (2001). His modeling career saw him featured in campaigns for brands such as Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Emporio Armani, and DKNY Jeans. Over the years, Fehr maintained a consistent presence in television and film. He joined the cast of “CSI: Miami” in 2005 as lab technician Dan Cooper, a role he held for 35 episodes until 2008. From 2014 to 2017, he was a main cast member in the NBC medical drama “The Night Shift,” portraying Dr. Drew Alister, an Army veteran and surgeon.

His filmography includes diverse roles, from a communications officer in “X-Men: First Class” (2011) to Nick Cassidy in the thriller “Wander” (2020), and Bradley in “The Best Man” (2023). Fehr has also taken on directing and producing roles, notably for the TV series “Baron and Toluca” (2022) and “Behind the Yellow House” (2021). His acting contributions have been recognized with two wins and seven nominations, including a Gemini Award in 2008 for Hottest Canadian Male TV Star.
