Brian Tyree Henry is an Academy Award-nominated actor recognized for his impactful roles across film, television, and theatre, delivering diverse performances that resonate with audiences and critics alike. After making his Broadway debut in the original cast of ‘The Book of Mormon’ in 2011, Brian Tyree Henry quickly established himself as a versatile actor across stage, television, and film. His early theatre work included playing Tybalt in Shakespeare in the Park’s 2007 production of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and roles in Tarell Alvin McCraney’s acclaimed ‘The Brother/Sister Plays.’ Henry further expanded his presence with guest roles in television series such as ‘Law & Order’ and ‘The Good Wife,’ leading to recurring roles as Winston Scrapper in HBO’s ‘Boardwalk Empire’ in 2013 and Larkin in Cinemax’s ‘The Knick’ in 2014. He made his feature film debut in the 2015 comedy ‘Puerto Ricans in Paris.’ Henry’s career achieved significant recognition with his starring role as Alfred ‘Paper Boi’ Miles in the FX series ‘Atlanta,’ which premiered in 2016 and earned him an Emmy Award nomination.
