Brianna Brown

Brianna Brown, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, began her acting career early through elementary school and local community productions. After a brief period at St. Olaf College, she moved to Los Angeles at 19 to pursue acting professionally. Her early career saw her featured in the pilot for Judd Apatow’s series “Freaks and Geeks” (1999). This led to roles in various theatrical features, predominantly comedies, and in 2004, she secured a part in “Spider-Man 2.” Brown consistently worked in film, expanding her range to include a farmer’s wife and a zombie killer in films like “Night of the Living Dead 3D” (2006). She collaborated with Judd Apatow again in “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” (2005) and “Knocked Up” (2007).

Her television career flourished with guest-starring roles in prominent series such as “CSI: Miami” (2002), “Without a Trace” (2002), and “Smallville” (2001). A notable turn was her portrayal of a serial-killing call girl in “Criminal Minds” (2005). From 2010 to 2011, she held a long-running role as Dr. Lisa Niles on the soap opera “General Hospital,” a performance that was voted “Best Storyline of 2010” by Soap Opera Digest. She also appeared in the Showtime thriller series “Homeland” (2011) as Lynne Reed. Brown took on a series regular role in “Devious Maids” (2013-2015) as Taylor Stappord, returning for the third season after her character was written out.

More recently, Brown has had recurring roles as Claudia Blaisdel in The CW’s “Dynasty” (2017-2022) and Hollis Robinson in Netflix’s “Outer Banks” (2024). Beyond her acting work, she has contributed as a producer on projects like “Elevate” (2018) and “The Encounter” (2010), for which she also won Best Actress at the Long Island Film Expo. Her commitment to empowering women financially led her to co-found the “Green Goddess Investment Club” and establish “The New Hollywood Women’s Goal Group,” promoting female empowerment and goal achievement.
