About

Cameron McKendry was born on January 13, 1996, in Cleveland, Ohio. His interest in entertainment began at the age of three. He started his performing career in dance, specializing in hip-hop, and at eight years old, he was invited to join the Shaker Dance Academy. At the age of nine, McKendry shifted his focus to acting, participating in professional and community theater in the Greater Cleveland area, including performances at the Cleveland Play House in productions such as ‘A Christmas Story’ and ‘Inherit the Wind’. By age 14, he began working in film, appearing in various independent feature films, short films, and commercials filmed in Ohio.

In 2014, McKendry moved to Los Angeles to further his acting career. Upon arrival, he secured representation with talent manager Ryan Daly at Zero Gravity Management, followed by an agent, Jason Zenowich, at Abrams Artists Agency. He was accepted into Chapman University’s BFA in Screen Acting program, which has an acceptance rate of 4.5%. McKendry is recognized for his leading role as Alex Dickerson in the 2016 PureFlix/Universal Studio’s film ‘I’m Not Ashamed’, a film detailing the life of Rachel Joy Scott. He also appeared as Moose in ‘My Friend Dahmer’ (2017) and Mike Joss in ‘Madtown’ (2018), which featured Milo Ventimiglia. His other credits include the lead role of Ted in ‘An Accidental Zombie (Named Ted)’ (2018), where he starred alongside Naomi Grossman and Kane Hodder.

He also had a recurring role as Clyde across four episodes in the third season of the horror-comedy series ‘Snatchers’ (2017), a Warner Bros. production that premiered its first two seasons at SXSW. Additional film roles include Jacob Holloway in ‘The Pastor’ (2018), Chad in ‘Lady Driver’ (2020), and Oscar Stevens in ‘The Stars and the Storms’ (2024).
