About

Carley Bearden began writing music and poetry at the age of 15. Growing up, she was involved in various sports, including softball, which she played from ages 3 to 18. Despite initially prioritizing softball, she also learned to play piano and guitar by ear. At 17, after being encouraged by creative friends to record and upload a song she wrote, she received an offer from a Fort Worth studio to record her music for free. This turning point led her to discontinue her softball career to focus on music.

In 2018, Carley Bearden attended UNT, where she met her girlfriend, Jasmine. This relationship served as inspiration for her to release the songs “Headspace” and “Sweet Disgrace,” which significantly advanced her career. She built a substantial following on platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, especially within the LGBTQ+ community, where her platform became known as a safe space. In 2020, she left college and began working full-time, a decision that further motivated her musical pursuits. By 2021, she signed with Electric Republic Records, founded by Jacob York, continuing her professional growth within the music industry.

Throughout her career, Carley Bearden has maintained a focus on mental health, aiming to bring vulnerability and honesty into the music industry. She views her platform as a supportive environment for individuals who may feel unheard or unable to express themselves. She emphasizes self-care and personal growth, drawing from her own experiences of overcoming challenges and setbacks in the competitive music industry. Her commitment to authenticity and providing a positive influence remains a central aspect of her artistic and public persona.
