The incredibly talented Carlos Ferro has forged a successful career as a voice actor in the video games industry, and his golden tones as Leonardo Da Vinci in the Assassin’s Creed series, and as Dominic Santiago in Gears of War series, will be best known to players worldwide. He is also a prolific actor, screenwriter, director, and producer.
Ferro began life in the entertainment industry as a DJ, befriending musical acts such as Grace Jones and Divine. He then began to pursue a career in acting in 1983, with his work eventually leading to a stint as an artist-in-residence at Cornell University. He received a Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award nomination for Best Solo Performance in the play SAL, a production of which he also co-wrote and co-produced. He made his TV debut in 1990 with a part on the drama series, Midnight Caller, and since then has gone on to feature in a number of other TV shows, including Star Trek: The Next Generation. But it was his distinctive voice that proved to be his best asset, and he quickly established himself as the go-to man for that distinctive characterisation in animated TV shows and in the video game industry. He has voiced for countless TV productions, such as Duckman, Big Top Scooby-Doo!, Justice League, and Beware the Batman, and for the gaming world on titles such as X-Men: Next Dimension, Quantum of Solace, Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, and The Godfather II, not to mention on the Assassin’s Creed series, and the Gears of War series. In addition to his prolific on- and off-screen acting, he set up his own production company in 2004, and in 2005 began producing and directing music videos.
Ferro regularly connects with his dedicated followers and fans through Instagram and Twitter, posting pictures and videos of his life in and out of the recording studio. He is also available for that distinctive and personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform.
