Chef Duff Goldman is a renowned television chef, with a speciality in baking. He has achieved great success in the restaurant business, known for Charm City Cakes in Baltimore. After opening a second site in Baltimore, his ambitions and desire for expansion took him to Los Angeles, where he opened another store. Goldman’s unique skills and watchable personality have made him the star of several baking shows on the Food Network. The programme Ace of Cakes features him at his stores, hosting a competition where the competitors are amateur bakers. His Los Angeles store featured on the Channel’s shows Duff Til Dawn and Cake Masters.
Prior to his career in culinary entertainment, Goldman has had a celebrated career as a chef. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Goldman was interested in cooking and food preparation from the age of 4. He started working professionally in fodo service at the age of fourteen, and continued to gain valuable experience in the kitchen even whilst earning his degree at the University of Maryland. After graduating, he began training as a pastry chef at the legendary Culinary Institute of America. Once he’d earned his certificate, he was working in high-powered environments under chefs such as Steve Maninno. It was at this point in his career that he returned to Baltimore to set up his own businesses. He has also written two cookbooks, Duff Bakes and a cookbook for kids.
