Damaris Phillips

Damaris Lennon Phillips is a top chef and television personality from the United States. She won the ninth season of the Food Network reality competition show “Food Network Star” in 2013. From 2013 through 2016, she hosted “Southern at Heart” which also aired on the Food Network for five seasons. The show featured ways of preparing a special dish for a date to helping beginners in the kitchen to master the perfect meal for their partner. Phillips often played matchmaker and chef during her series run, providing entertainment, delicious food, and a little romance along the way. In 2018, she joined forces with Bobby Flay, a world-famous American chef, and her former mentee whom she met while on the show Food Network Star. The pair of celebrity chefs co-hosted “The Bobby and Damaris Show” where they prepared a variety of delicious meals with a little spice and lots of chemistry.

Phillips is a classic chef from the South, where Sunday dinner was never complete without fried chicken, but she fell in love with an ethical vegetarian.
