Christian Sørum is an Olympic gold medalist and multiple-time European Champion in beach volleyball, considered among the best defensive players globally. After securing a second-place finish at the FIVB U19 World Championship in 2012 with Bjarne Nikolai Huus, Christian Sørum went on to establish himself as a dominant force in professional beach volleyball. He earned his first U22 European Championship title in Fehiye in 2014, partnering with Runar Sannarnes. Following this, Sørum played with Morten Kvamsdal, achieving a top ten finish at the 2016 FIVB World Tour in Fortaleza.
In 2022, they added a prestigious World Championship title in Rome to their already impressive record. Demonstrating his versatility within the sport, Sørum also briefly played indoor volleyball as an outside attacker for Forde VBK in the European Challenge Cup during the 2013-14 season. Christian Sørum continued to compete at the highest level, earning an Olympic Bronze Medal at the 2024 Paris Games.
