Christina Najjar, also known on social media as Tinx, is a Los Angeles–based content creator and social influencer, most popular on TikTok, where she more than 1.5 million followers who tune in for her pithy pop-culture commentary, daily vlogs, and, most crucially, her recommendations. Her comedy style has earned her over 80 million likes. Proudly basic, this woman is definitely a trend setter. She has the honor of having her own style “Tinx bowl” that you can buy on the Chipotle app, a signature sippy cup from Simple Modern, and a smoothie named after her at Erewhon, a posh Los Angeles grocer.
Najjar was born and raised in England, where she attended an all-girls school before enrolling at Stanford University. She began working as a freelance writer. She was known for her confessional style pieces like, “I Attempted to Go on a Different Date Every Week for a Year—Here’s What Happened” or “I Had a Massive Crush on My Trainer—It Didn’t End Well.” She soon made the transition of using her sarcastic voice and active imagination to dominate social media, often being called TikTok’s big sister.
On Instagram, Najjar can be found at @itsmetinx where she boasts over 440 thousand fans and followers. While everyone on Instagram has their own style, Tinx is known for often captioning her outfit pictures with long backstories. Who is she today? The rich mom she’s channeling that day? A character that came to her during her morning freewriting session? Who knows? But it’s addicting to find out.
