Christina Najjar, widely known as Tinx, was born in Washington, D.C., in 1990 and spent her formative years in London, where she attended an all-girls school. She later moved to California at the age of 19 to pursue higher education at Stanford University, focusing on English literature and creative writing. Following her graduation from Stanford, Najjar gained experience in retail management with Gap Inc. Her passion for fashion and media led her to further her education at Parsons School of Design, where she enrolled in their fashion journalism master’s program. These early experiences provided a foundation for her future career in media and content creation.
In the summer of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Tinx launched her TikTok account, where she rapidly gained a significant following. Within a year, she amassed over a million followers, primarily women, by offering unfiltered advice on a range of topics including relationships, mental health, and celebrity gossip. She became known as “TikTok’s older sister” due to her direct and honest approach. Her content also notably includes satirical yet aspirational “starter packs for rich moms,” a segment she launched apparel for in January 2022 under the brand “Rich Mom Gear.” Her growing influence was recognized in 2021 with a nomination for “Breakout Creator” at the 11th Streamy Awards.
Building on her social media success, Tinx expanded her platform into traditional media. In February 2022, she signed with Sirius XM to launch her podcast, “It’s Me, Tinx,” on Stitcher Radio. This was followed by a weekly radio show, “It’s Me, Tinx Live,” on Sirius XM Stars, which premiered in March 2022. The show covers her personal life and offers pop culture commentary and advice. In May 2023, she released her debut book, “The Shift: Change Your Perspective, Not Yourself,” a non-fiction work discussing dating, self-confidence, and friendships through personal stories. Most recently, in May 2025, Tinx discussed her debut fiction novel titled “Hotter in the Hamptons” and its television adaptation efforts with Erin and Sara Foster during an appearance on TODAY.
