Craig Bellamy

Prior to this, Bellamy also traveled with the Raiders for the 1989 World Club Challenge. Transitioning into coaching, he led the Canberra Raiders’ Presidents Cup team to a premiership victory in 1995. Bellamy then joined the Brisbane Broncos in 1997 as performance coordinator and assistant coach to Wayne Bennett, where he contributed to their 1998 NRL Grand Final win. In 2002, he gained significant NRL head coaching experience, stepping in for Wayne Bennett during State of Origin duty and guiding the ‘Baby Broncos’ to an upset victory over the Wests Tigers.

This pivotal experience led to his appointment as head coach of the Melbourne Storm in 2003, a position he has held since. Under Bellamy’s leadership, the Melbourne Storm has achieved sustained success, securing legitimate NRL Premierships in 2012, 2017, and 2020. He also coached the Storm to Grand Final victories in 2007 and 2009. His tenure is marked by an exceptional record, consistently maintaining a win-loss ratio above 50% in every season coached and leading the Storm to finals football every year, with the exception of the 2010 season.

In 2024, Bellamy continued to add to his list of achievements, once again being named Dally M Coach of the Year and guiding the Melbourne Storm to another Minor Premiership while reaching the NRL Grand Final. His commitment to the club remains strong, with re-signings announced in 2024 for the 2025 season and again in 2025 for the 2026 season, solidifying his status as one of rugby league’s most influential and successful coaches.
