United States Dalton Kincaid has established himself as a prominent tight end in the NFL, recently earning a Pro Bowl selection. His journey includes significant milestones in college football and an impactful entry into professional leagues.
Born on October 18, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dalton Kincaid holds dual citizenship in the United States and Canada. His athletic career began primarily with basketball, culminating in an AAU Championship during his senior year. A pivotal turning point came when friends encouraged him to play high school football in a single season at Faith Lutheran High School. Despite this late start, Kincaid earned all-state honors, recording 745 yards and eight touchdowns, which led him to pursue college football at the University of San Diego as a walk-on.
Kincaid’s college career showcased steady progression and significant achievements. As a freshman in 2018 at San Diego, he recorded 24 catches for 374 yards and 11 touchdowns. His sophomore season in 2019 was even more productive, with 44 receptions for 835 yards and eight touchdowns, leading all FCS tight ends in yards per catch and earning him an AP FCS All-American selection and Second-team All-Pioneer Football League honors. In 2020, Kincaid transferred to the University of Utah. His first season with the Utes was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic, where he played in five games. He continued to excel, and in 2022, he achieved 70 receptions for 890 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns in 12 games, culminating in First-team All-Pac-12 recognition.
Dalton Kincaid’s professional journey began with his selection by the Buffalo Bills as the 25th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, a result of the Bills trading up with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was the first tight end drafted in 2023. Kincaid signed a four-year, $13.4 million rookie contract with a fifth-year option. His rookie season saw him record his first career touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and set a Bills franchise record for most receptions by a rookie with 73 receptions for 673 yards and two touchdowns. His momentum continued into the 2024 and 2025 seasons, marked by additional touchdowns and his first career 100-yard game. In 2025, Kincaid was selected to the Pro Bowl, demonstrating his impact on the team, despite playing with a torn PCL throughout the season. The Bills later picked up his fifth-year option for 2027.
