Darcy Moore

Darcy Moore has transitioned from a key defender to a premiership captain, leading the Collingwood Football Club and engaging in significant social advocacy. After leading the Oakleigh Chargers to a premiership in the 2014 TAC Cup season, Darcy Moore was drafted by the Collingwood Football Club with pick number 9 in the 2014 AFL draft. Moore made his impactful AFL debut in 2015, quickly establishing himself as a versatile player capable of excelling as both a key defender and a tall forward. His exceptional talent was recognized early, earning him an AFL Rising Star nomination in 2016 and a spot on the AFL Players Association’s 22 Under 22 team in the same year.

Beyond his distinguished football career, Moore is committed to continuous growth and social impact. He has completed commerce studies and is currently undertaking a Masters of International Relations at the University of Melbourne, showcasing his dedication to academic pursuits. Actively involved in significant social issues, Moore is a prominent advocate for Reconciliation efforts and has been a vocal supporter of AFLW Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations, demonstrating his profound commitment to making a positive difference off the field.
