Speedster Denny Hamlin is a professional stock car racing driver, who competes in the NASCAR Cup Series. He is also a NASCAR team owner. He is a 3x Daytona 500 winner, a 3x Cook Out Southern 500 Winner, a 3x Cam-Am Duels winner, and a 3x Sprint Unlimited winner.
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Hamlin started racing in go-karst when he was seven-years-old, and by the time he was 15, he had won the WKA manufacturers cup. The following year he moved up to racing mini stocks, winning his first race, before progressing up to Late Model Stock Cars in 2000 and competing full-time. He started his NASCAR career in 2004 competing in the Craftsman Truck Series, and the Xfinity Series, and then in the Cup Series the following year. He marked his first wins in Xfinity and Cup Series in 2006, and in 2011 in Craftsman. Away from the track he has also worked as a gust analyst for Fox NASCAR.
