Cody Webb

Born on May 31, 1988, in Watsonville, California, Cody Webb entered the world of motorcycle racing through observed trials, a discipline he learned from his father, Kip Webb, a top American trials rider. This early exposure to trials, which emphasizes balance and technical maneuvering over speed, provided Webb with a strong foundation in bike control and strategic riding. Webb’s analytical approach, honed through his pursuit of a mechanical engineering degree, proved beneficial in mastering the intricate calculations required in trials. He quickly rose through the ranks, winning the AMA NATC National Championship in the Expert class in 2003. The following year, he transitioned to the Pro class, consistently placing among the top riders and eventually securing the NATC Pro Trials Champion title in 2010.

While excelling in trials, Webb expanded his career into EnduroCross, a more speed-oriented discipline. Despite an initial struggle with elements like jumping and cornering at speed, he rapidly adapted. His dedication led to significant success, including three AMA EnduroCross Championship titles in 2014, 2015, and 2017. Webb also demonstrated his capabilities on the international stage, winning the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship in 2018 and earning six X Games medals, including silver in 2012, 2013, and 2014, and bronze in 2013. A notable achievement was becoming the first American to podium at the Erzbergrodeo Red Bull Hare Scramble extreme enduro in 2016, where he finished second.

Webb’s career reflects a trajectory of continuous improvement and adaptation across different motorcycling disciplines. His transition from a trials specialist to a versatile off-road racer highlights his persistence and commitment to refining his skills. He has maintained long-standing relationships with various sponsors and continues to compete at a high level. Beyond racing, Webb earned a mechanical engineering degree from San Jose State University in 2016, showcasing his diverse capabilities.
