Dillon Ward is a decorated professional lacrosse goaltender, known for his consistent performance and leadership with the Colorado Mammoth and Philadelphia Waterdogs. After leading the Orangeville Northmen Jr. A team to three national Minto Cup championships and four provincial titles between 2008 and 2012, Dillon Ward established a strong early career. During this period, he was recognized as Junior Goalie and Player of the Year by Inside Lacrosse in 2010, and received the Robert Melville Memorial Award three times (2008, 2009, 2011) as top Junior A goalie.
Ward was also named Most Valuable Player of both the Minto Cup Tournament (2012) and the U19 Canadian Field Championships (2009). In 2020, Bellarmine recognized Ward as its men’s lacrosse player of the decade, the program’s first All-American, holding career records for wins (19) and saves (576). Ward’s professional career surged when he was selected third overall by the Colorado Mammoth in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft, becoming the first goaltender drafted in the top three since 1999. In the 2024-25 NLL season, Ward continued to demonstrate his longevity and impact by setting new Colorado Mammoth franchise records with 722 saves and 1,016 minutes and nine seconds played in a single season.
