Eric St John – better known by his stage name DNA – is a battle rapper from the USA who became the most viewed battle rapper in history. The rap star has appeared on a number of different leagues, including Don’t Flop, King Of The Dot, SMACK/URL and formerly Grind Time. A stone-cold veteran, DNA is world renowned for helping to make the 2 on 2 battle format popular. DNA has taken social media by storm, racking up more than 201k followers on Instagram, and his 2018 rap battle against JC Smack has been viewed more than 1.2 million times. In 2021 he dropped his critically acclaimed album Invictus, featuring the electric single ‘Ease My Mind’.
Born and raised in Queens, New York, DNA has earned notoriety for his trademark freestyle, and has shown on numerous occasions that he is one of the best freestylers in the world – something which has given the rapper a degree of prestige. Famous for the gap found in the front row of his teeth (which happened during an altercation away from battle rap), he had the gap fixed before being seen once again without the filler teeth to show the world that the old DNA was back.
Consistently at the top of his game, the battle rap superstar recently graced the cover of Champion magazine and talked about his highly anticipated battle with King Los, which turned out to be the highlight of SMACK Vol.8 .
