Most famous for his recurring roles in television shows The Cosby Show and All My Children, Dondré Whitfield is an accomplished actor.
Whitfield first shot to fame as a long time recurring character on NBC sitcom, The Cosby Show, which he starred in for two years in the mid 80’s. This quickly led to other roles including in soap operas Another World and All My Children, which he appeared in for three years. He was nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards and two Soap Opera Digest Awards for the show, and was rapidly becoming a well loved and well known actor. Whitfield then moved on from soap operas to star in several sitcoms, such as The Crew, Between Brothers, Secret Agent Man and Hidden Hills, with other guest appearances in NYPD Blue, Ghost Whisperer, Cold Case and Grey’s Anatomy. Whitfield’s credits also include movies such as Two Can Play That Game, The Salon, White Man’s Burden and Middle of Nowhere. In 2015 Whitfield was chosen as a cast member on reality comedy series Real Husbands of Hollywood, appearing in one episode of the hit TV show.
Currently, Whitfield is a series regular on Oprah Winfrey’s Queen Sugar, having starred in the show since 2016 and been nominated for a NAACP Image Award for his role in the programme. This accomplished actor remains a first call in Hollywood and is well loved by viewers across the world.
