Dr. Julia Carroll

Dr. Julia Carroll earned her medical degree from Dalhousie University in 2001. Following medical school, she completed her dermatology residency training at the University of Toronto. She attained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Acadia University prior to her medical studies. Dr. Carroll received her Independent Practice registration as a physician on June 29, 2007, and was certified in Dermatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada on June 18, 2007.

Dr. Carroll founded Compass Dermatology in 2012 with Dr. Sonya Cook in Toronto. Her practice focuses on combining dermatologist-administered injectables, threads, and laser treatments. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCPC) and maintains active memberships with the Canadian Dermatology Association, Toronto Dermatologic Society, American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Carroll also contributes to medical education as a staff member at the University of Toronto Medical School. She served as the President of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine from 2018 to 2021 and as the Ontario Director for the Canadian Dermatology Association during the same period.

Her work has led to frequent appearances in media outlets such as The Marilyn Denis Show, ET Canada, and The Global Morning Show, where she provides insights on skin health and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Carroll is also an Education Committee Member of the Dermatology Association of Ontario.
