Drea de Matteo is an Emmy Award-winning American actress recognized for her compelling roles across television and film. After her breakthrough role as Adriana La Cerva in the HBO series ‘The Sopranos,’ which premiered in 1999, Drea de Matteo went on to earn widespread critical acclaim and an Emmy Award. Initially cast for a single episode, de Matteo’s compelling portrayal led to an expanded, series-regular role, culminating in a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2004 and a Golden Globe Award nomination in the same year. Prior to this, she made her screen debut in an independent film and held a small part in ‘Meet Prince Charming’ (1999), also starring in films such as Abel Ferrara’s ”R Xmas’ (2001) and ‘Prey for Rock & Roll’ (2003).
