Ed Bolian, born in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 13, 1985, developed an early interest in automobiles. He attended North Gwinnett High School and later pursued higher education at Georgia Tech, graduating in 2008 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his college years, Bolian began his entrepreneurial journey by founding Supercar Rentals, Inc., an exotic car rental company he operated from his dorm room. After selling his fleet in 2009, he transitioned into the exotic car retail sector.
Following his venture into car rentals, Bolian served as the Sales Director for the Lamborghini/McLaren/Aston Martin/Lotus dealership in Atlanta. During this period, he gained significant industry experience and insight into the high-end automotive market. A notable achievement in his personal history occurred on October 19-20, 2013, when he, along with co-driver Dave Black and spotter Dan Huang, set a new record for the Cannonball Run, completing the coast-to-coast journey in 28 hours and 50 minutes. This record stood until November 2019.
In February 2016, Bolian co-founded VINwiki, a user-centric platform and app designed for car enthusiasts to create and maintain detailed vehicle histories. The VINwiki YouTube channel, launched in May 2016, has grown to over 2.1 million subscribers, featuring a popular “Car Stories” series where individuals share their automotive experiences.
