Finn Bálor

Finn Bálor, a highly accomplished professional wrestler, made an immediate impact on the global scene, founding NWA Ireland in 2002 with Paul Tracey, a promotion that trained future wrestling talents such as Becky Lynch and Jordan Devlin. After making his professional debut in November 2001, Bálor secured the NWA British Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship twice, demonstrating his potential across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In 2006, he joined New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) under the name Prince Devitt, quickly rising as a prominent junior heavyweight. During his tenure with NJPW, Prince Devitt achieved significant success, becoming a three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and a six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, partnering with Minoru and Ryusuke Taguchi, with his first Tag Team title coming in 2008.

He won the prestigious Best of the Super Juniors tournament twice, in 2010 and 2013, further cementing his dominance. In 2013, he became the original leader of the influential Bullet Club stable, and also held the NWA World Historic Middleweight Champion title in 2012 through CMLL’s working relationship. Bálor signed with WWE in May 2014, joining its developmental brand NXT and adopting his current ring name. He made an immediate impact, winning the NXT Championship in 2015 and holding it for 292 days, a record at the time.

His consistent performance and title victories culminated in 2023, when he became the 24th Grand Slam Champion in WWE history, solidifying his status as one of the sport’s most decorated competitors.
