Fraser Doherty MBE is an award-winning entrepreneur and founder of the brand SuperJam, a company that now supplies millions of jars of 100% fruit jam around the world. The company, started by Doherty when he was just 14 years old, has won over 20 innovation awards and was entered into the National Museum of Scotland as an ‘Iconic Scottish Brand’. Doherty himself has recently been awarded an MBE for his services to business, and has also been commended by the Prime Minister at Downing Street.
Born in Edinburgh, Doherty began making jam from 100% fruit as a hobby in his grandmother’s kitchen, and began to sell jars to his neighbours. A few years later, he became the youngest ever supplier to a major supermarket when he presented his brand SuperJam to Waitrose, and since then the company has become a worldwide commercial success, selling millions of jars around the globe.
Doherty also successfully co- founded Beer52, which has become the world’s largest craft beer club, and has invested in various charities, including the hugely successful The SuperJam Tea Parties with the aim to combat loneliness for the elderly.
As a best-selling author, Doherty’s books include The SuperJam Cookbook, and SuperBusiness: How I Started SuperJam from My Gran’s Kitchen, the inspirational story of how he grew his business from a kitchen table. Doherty regularly contributes to business magazines and inspires others with his incredible story at speaking engagements.
