Fred Jones

Fred Jones transitioned from a distinguished NBA career to a business owner and active community member, offering insights on sports, business, and life after professional athletics. After being selected 14th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2002 NBA Draft, Fred Jones quickly established himself as a prominent talent in professional basketball. His selection followed a distinguished collegiate career at the University of Oregon, where he played four seasons for the Oregon Ducks. During his senior year, Jones became a candidate for Pac-10 Player of the Year, leading the Ducks to the Elite Eight while averaging 18.6 points per game.

After concluding his professional playing career, Jones returned to his alma mater, the University of Oregon, to complete his degree and served as an undergraduate assistant coach for the Ducks during the 2015–16 season, contributing to player development. Transitioning from the court to entrepreneurship, Jones founded ‘Player Population,’ a virtual community designed to connect and support professional basketball players.
