Friedrich Moch

Friedrich Moch was born on April 12, 2000, in Memmingen, Germany. He developed an early interest in cross-country skiing, joining WSV Isny e.V., and quickly progressed through the junior ranks. Moch uses Fischer skis and boots, along with Leki poles, which are standard equipment for many professional skiers. His international career began to gain momentum with notable performances in junior championships, setting the foundation for his transition to senior competitions. By 2019, he had already begun to make his mark, securing a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships.

Moch’s career saw significant progression into the World Cup circuit, starting in the 2020-21 season. He participated in the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2021, competing in events such as the pursuit and 15-kilometer freestyle. His dedication and performance led to his participation in the 2022 Winter Olympics, where he achieved a 13th place in the 30 km skiathlon and contributed to a 5th place finish in the 4×10 km relay. A significant milestone in his career came at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2023 in Planica, where he earned a bronze medal in the 4×10 km relay.

Throughout his World Cup career, Moch has consistently placed among the top athletes, culminating in a 6th place in the overall standings for the 2023-24 season. He has secured individual podium finishes in Stage World Cup events, including a 3rd place in the 10 km Mass Start Freestyle in Val di Fiemme in January 2022 and a 2nd place in the same event in January 2024. He also achieved a 2nd place overall in the 2023-24 Tour de Ski, showcasing his endurance and consistent performance across multiple stages. His performance record extends to multiple top-10 finishes in various World Cup races and World Championships, demonstrating his sustained presence as a competitive force in international cross-country skiing.
