Gary Kubiak

Gary Kubiak has had a distinguished career in Football, transitioning from NFL player to a highly successful coach and executive. His journey includes winning multiple Super Bowl titles and leading teams to significant milestones over nearly four decades in the sport. After guiding quarterback Steve Young to a Super Bowl XXIX victory as quarterbacks coach for the San Francisco 49ers in 1994, Gary Kubiak went on to establish a distinguished career in Football, earning multiple Super Bowl titles and leading teams to significant milestones over nearly four decades. Drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 1983 NFL Draft, Kubiak spent nine seasons as a backup quarterback for John Elway, participating in three AFC Championship teams and two Super Bowls (XXI and XXIV).

His success with the Texans was further recognized when he was named AFC Coach of the Year by NFL 101 in 2011, and he guided the team to a franchise-best 12–4 record in 2012. After a season as offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens in 2014, Kubiak made a notable return to the Denver Broncos. In 2015, Kubiak returned to the Denver Broncos as head coach, where he led the team to a 12-4 record and culminated the season with a victory in Super Bowl 50. This triumph made him the first person to win a Super Bowl with the same team as both a player and head coach.

Earlier in his career, he was inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame in 1999 for his prolific playing record.
