Gena Lee Nolin was born on November 29, 1971, in Duluth, Minnesota. Her family later relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, during her senior year of high school. In Las Vegas, Nolin began her career by winning several beauty contests, including events for Ford Models and Elite Model Management, as well as the Miss Barbizon USA national title. She appeared in commercials for major brands such as The Home Depot, Starburst, and Hyundai. Nolin also served as a spokesperson for Sasson Jeans, Clothestime, Maui & Sons, Levi’s, and Swatch, which helped establish her public presence early in her career. Her initial acting role was as a model on the game show ‘The Price Is Right’ from 1994 to 1995, followed by an appearance in the soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless’.
Nolin’s career advanced significantly in 1995 when she was cast as Neely Capshaw in the television series ‘Baywatch’, a role she held until 1998, appearing in 64 episodes. Following her time on ‘Baywatch’, she took on the lead role in her own television series, ‘Sheena’, which aired from 2000 to 2002, spanning 35 episodes. Her film credits include ‘Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding’ (2003), ‘The Underground Comedy Movie’ (1999), and later appearances in ‘Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens’ (2016) and ‘Killing Hasselhoff’ (2017). Beyond acting, Nolin embarked on a writing career, co-authoring ‘Beautiful Inside and Out, Conquering Thyroid Disease with a Healthy, Happy, “Thyroid Sexy” Life’ with Mary J. Shomon in 2013. This book, published by Simon & Schuster, achieved success by ranking No. 1 on Amazon and Barnes & Noble’s Top 5 Health Books, reflecting her advocacy for thyroid health after her own diagnosis in 2009. She is currently working on her second book.

Her personal life includes marriages to Greg Fahlman and later to former NHL player Cale Hulse, with whom she has two children.
